Malaika Penn Presents at Elevations Geospatial Summer Series
Builder vs Builder: What You Need to Know About ArcGIS Experience Builder
In early August, Argis Solutions software developer Malaika Penn presented on the features of Esri’s ArcGIS Experience Builder and the differences between it and ArcGIS Web AppBuilder at the Elevations Geospatial Summer Series. The four-week series, a joint effort between GIS Colorado and WYGEO, offered training as well as educational and networking opportunities for GIS professionals.
Experience Builder offers multi-page and scrolling applications with customizable widgets and layouts. Its simple drag-and-drop model allows for customization of the look and flow of applications without coding. Create apps that are less map-centered with more text information and images, or simply use it as an easier way to customize map-centered applications. Now users can interact with multiple maps on a single web application. Web AppBuilder has over 70 widgets available for use, but Experience Builder only has a small portion of those currently implemented. Esri is planning on rolling those widgets out to Experience Builder incrementally, and users are developing some of them on their own.
With Experience Builder, Esri has made a great user interface to create beautiful applications. It is easy to make a user-friendly and professional-looking site in a matter of minutes.
